Rare two-headed, six-legged tortoise goes on display in Ukraine

A two-headed tortoise has gone on display at a museum in the Ukraine. Besides the two heads, the five-year-old Central Asian tortoise also has six legs.

Visitors to the National Museum of Natural History in Kiev, will be able to observe the different eating habits of each head over the next two months.

Zoologists at the museum say the tortoise is not a single reptile with two heads, but rather two conjoined tortoises.

LiveLeak link.

The female has two heads, two hearts, four front legs, but only two hind ones, and one intestine.

Well of course. How could anyone think otherwise, just look at them.

I can't help but wonder if this has anything to do with Chernobyl seeing as how it doesn't actually say where they're from, just that they're on display in Kiev. Poor little guys.

It almost certainly has nothing to do with Chernobyl.
