Police say an Arkansas man attempted to rob a convenience store with hot dog tongs. Eyewitnesses say a drunk man used a pair of hot dog tongs, he grabbed from the food counter and threatened the clerk and customers for money.
"He attempted to rob the place, but really I guess nobody took him serious enough to actually give him money because of his state of intoxication," said Cpl Steven Dooly of Fort Smith police.
Surveillance video showed Renee Jackson, 35, in the store for nearly 15 minutes. According to a police report, Jackson allegedly wrote a note saying he was sorry for what he was doing. Police say Jackson was outside the building when they arrived.

Officers say Jackson told police he was from New Orleans and fighting with his wife. According to the police report, Jackson told police he wanted to go to jail to see how his family did without him because he says they don't appreciate him. Jackson allegedly shoved one of the customers, but no one was hurt. He faces two counts of attempted aggravated robbery.
