Police investigate love triangle rat attack

Police in Philadelphia are looking for a group of women who allegedly threw live rats into a home in Grays Ferry on Wednesday night. Investigators said the incident stemmed from an ongoing dispute over a man two women were both dating.

Just before 11:00pm, police say a woman in her 20s, her mother, and a group of 8 to 9 other women showed up to the victim's house with a baseball bat and a box of rats. The pack allegedly bashed in windows and the outer front door, and then they dumped the rodents into the home.

Police say a suspect punched the 30-year-old victim and took her purse, which had $200 in cash and cards. The group took off in a green Chevy Lumina with a Pennsylvania plate. Police are still trying to track down those suspects.

A family member of the victim was taken to the hospital during all this commotion to be checked out for a possible heart problem. The victim also sustained some minor injuries. An investigation into the incident is continuing.
