Elk herd caused traffic jam

Motorists in Colorado were stuck in an unusual traffic jam recently.



Instead of a bumper-to-bumper jam, drivers found themselves in antler-to-antler traffic.

Autumn Phillips, of Estes Park, Colorado, captured video of a herd of elk passing through a busy intersection last Sunday.

Elk draw many tourists to Estes Parks, which is just outside Rocky Mountain National Park, where the animals enjoy protected status.
