Police mystified about crash-landed UFO on fire in middle of road that is actually a pizza oven

At about midnight on Saturday a 999 call came from a worried member of the public to say there was something on fire in Kingston-upon-Thames, south west London.

Officers from the emergency response team were sent, along with the London Fire Brigade.

A Kingston police spokesman said: "The officers that arrived on scene described the item as looking like a crash landed UFO."

It transpired the hemispherical object is a mosaic-covered pizza oven. But how it got there, and on fire, is still not known. Anyone with information about how it ended up being there is urged to contact police.

Right, it was a "pizza oven." And a weather balloon crashed in Roswell.

We're being invaded by aliens, but they're not carbon-based lifeforms. They're pizza based. They picked the wrongest planet.

Cow abduction is so passé, pizza oven abduction is where the real money lies if you're an ET.

Alien invader: "Take away the Earthlings' pizza, and you take away their will to live!"
