Clumsy customer accidentally smashed £5,000 worth of TVs on display in store

A customer browsing in the HBH Woolacotts store in St Austell, Cornwall, accidentally smashing more than £5,000 worth of smart TVs.

Mike Collins, assistant manager at HBH Woolacotts St Austell, said: "Staff were devastated when it happened.

"I had been on a day off but came back and watched the CCTV footage. My manager just said 'you will never guess what has happened'. I was very shocked."

Mr Collins said that a curved Samsung and two Panasonic TVs were among those damaged. He could not confirm whether the customer paid for any damage.

Anonymous said...: Double agree. Nobody sets up L5000 TV's like that. High-price TV's are always secured against accidental knock-over. IF this is legit, then the customer should NOT be held accountable for the store's weapons-grade stupidity.
