Clumsy customer accidentally smashed £5,000 worth of TVs on display in store

A customer browsing in the HBH Woolacotts store in St Austell, Cornwall, accidentally smashing more than £5,000 worth of smart TVs.



Mike Collins, assistant manager at HBH Woolacotts St Austell, said: "Staff were devastated when it happened.





"I had been on a day off but came back and watched the CCTV footage. My manager just said 'you will never guess what has happened'. I was very shocked."

Mr Collins said that a curved Samsung and two Panasonic TVs were among those damaged. He could not confirm whether the customer paid for any damage.

Agree... who sets up TVs like that?

Double agree. Nobody sets up L5000 TV's like that. High-price TV's are always secured against accidental knock-over. IF this is legit, then the customer should NOT be held accountable for the store's weapons-grade stupidity.
