Titanium man finishes Swiss ride

A man who claims to have more metal in his head than anyone else in Europe after a skiing accident has completed a fundraising bike ride to Switzerland.



Gavin Rees, of Milford Haven, underwent 19 hours of surgery to rebuild his face after falling 200m in the Alps.

He now has a total of 24 titanium plates and 131 screws in his head.

The 29-year-old cycled 1,000 miles from Pembrokeshire to Geneva, where he underwent surgery,in 12 days. He has raised around £6,000 so far.
