The Queen ducks rude parrot

A Navy parrot was “retired” before a royal visit — because of her foul language.

African grey Sunny was shipped off the frigate HMS Lancaster before The Queen toured it in Portsmouth on Thursday.

The mascot’s salty utterings included “arse”, “feck” and phrases such as “Zulus, thousands of ’em,” and “You ain’t seen nothing, right?”

A Navy spokesman said: “It’s true that Sunny had picked up a rich navy vernacular and we wish her the best in retirement.”
