Sony is set to launch the future of flat screen TV's which could be as thin as 3mm.
Electronics boffins have come up with a mind-boggling way of using organic chemicals which produce their own light when the electricity is turned on.
Called organic light-emitting diode (OLED) screens, they do not need a backlight, which means they can be as thin as 3mm.
This means the pictures are better quality and the TV runs at a lower energy cost.
