Terminally -ill househusband Dave Hall, 40, who has a brain tumour, is currently on chemotherapy and could survive a further year if the treatment is successful.
But he is desperate to watch his children, aged from three to 13, grow up before he dies and is now praying that he will be accepted as a patient in America to trial a pioneering £2,000-a-month drug which could "buy" him even more time.
Dave, of Rotherhead Drive, Macclesfield, first needs to raise the cash to finance a trip to Boston for life-prolonging treatment after being recommended as a suitable candidate by his GP.
The family need £5,000 to send him to America for the pioneering treatment which could extend his life. And Daniella, 13, Callum, eight, and three-year-old Lucia are so determined to help they are auctioning off their toys.
My dad Dave Hall is suffering from a brain tumour and we want to pay for him to go to America to take part in a drugs trial.
All proceeds of sale will go to the trial. Any extra will go to Cancer Research UK.
If for whatever reason the trial does not go ahead all money raised will go to Cancer Research UK.
Daniella will be selling her acoustic guitar - given to her by her dad. Callum will be selling his radio-controlled quad bike, a Robodog and Lego. Lucia will be selling her teddies, her remote-controlled dog and her toy ironing board.
They are also doing sponsored walks and bike rides.
