Men and women in tights set new world record

A world record attempt to assemble the largest collection of Robin Hoods in Nottingham has been successful.

A total of 165 people dressed in Robin Hood costumes gathered as part of the attempt, judged by officials from the Guinness Book of World Records.

The event, which was organised by building society The Nottingham, was held near Nottingham Castle on Saturday morning.

A wide range of people aged from about 15 months old to 60 years wore Robin Hood hats, tunics, tights and brown shoes.
