A 40-stone (254kg) man with a genetic condition which compelled him to eat non-stop has died in hospital.
Chris Leppard, 25, who had Prader-Willi syndrome, died at the Conquest Hospital in Hastings, East Sussex, on Tuesday, his family said.
Before Mr Leppard, from Hastings, was taken to hospital at the beginning of May he had spent most of the past six months confined to his home.
Prader-Willi syndrome stems from a flaw in the part of the brain known as the hypothalamus, which determines hunger.
There are believed to be about 2,000 cases of the incurable condition in the UK.
