Funeral directors took extra care of a special delivery when they arranged the cremation of a popular courier driver.
Leslie Wright, who owned a busy courier business and had a unique sense of humour, died from cancer last week.
Rather than organising a traditional funeral his son Chris Wright put his dad in a special coffin which looked like a cardboard box, marked it "handle with care" and delivered him to the crematorium in a courier van as a special tribute.
The coffin was addressed to "Cloud 9, Peace and Quiet Road, Heaven, Near Scotland". It was marked with "fragile" stickers and "this way up" signs.
Leslie's 20-year-old grandson Kris travelled in the back of the Mercedes van-cum-hearse to keep him company.
Chris said: "Our family knows how to have a giggle. Dad was really well-known around the area and loved his work and we thought this was fitting tribute to him from all the people that knew him."
