Shaheen Akhtar was cleaning the loo at her home in Leacroft Road, Normanton, while her nine-year-old daughter, Rumana Idris, was in the bath.

She used a thick bleach and then put a limescale remover in with it, causing a chemical reaction which blew the water out of the toilet, spraying the bathroom ceiling.
Fumes from the reaction meant the 40-year-old teaching assistant and her daughter had to be taken to Derbyshire Royal Infirmary for treatment. Mrs Akhtar described the incident as "petrifying".
Firefighter Steve Kent said: "This really is a warning to people not to mix cleaning products."
