The fishcakes may be pricey but the insults are free

Diners who complained about a restaurant's bad service were stunned to find a rude message in their bill.

Ten friends found the abusive and sexually-explicit message on their bill at Joe Delucci's Italian restaurant in Bird Street, Lichfield, Staffordshire.



They discovered the words "S**k my d**k f**k face" itemised between the Sauvignon Blanc and the £4.95 fish cakes.

Joe Delucci's owner Nigel Langsdon said the message had been meant to be seen only by kitchen staff and he did not know how it ended up as an item on the receipt.
