Man tries to land work by leaving women dirty letters

A man going by the name of "James Bond" is leaving the Village South community of Carrollwood shaken, not stirred.

A handful of residents - mostly women - have found handwritten solicitations in their mailboxes offering massages, exercise coaching, or other services. For more information, they are directed to call James Bond at an 813- phone number.

However, Mr. Bond is only interested in female widows or single women, according to his flyer ... in more ways than one. Many of the words began with letters in the shape of female breasts. "The fact that an adult wrote it is pretty sick," said one Village South resident who asked not to be identified.

The handwriting on the one-page solicitations - all individually written on notebook paper - contain some misspellings, leading one of the recipients to think it was a childish prank at first. But other women in Tampa say the man had been seen lurking in their neighbourhood and should be considered a threat.

"He's clearly stalking around neighbourhoods and looking in windows and seeking out women who are alone during the day," she said.

A man called the number on the flyer and the man who answered - after saying at first it was the wrong number - said James Bond was one of his workers. "We do work for female widows or single women only," he said. "We don't work for husbands, so we won't be doing business with you."
