A stolen kiss may have cost the life of a young Irishman in Australia who fell from a boat while in a playful embrace.
The 23-year-old man remains missing after he fell overboard from the Lady Brisbane on Saturday night.
The pair were sitting on a waist-high railing at the back of the vessel before they overbalanced and fell into the river about 10.25pm.
The woman was retrieved from the river but serious fears remain for the Irishman, known as Shaun, who is unable to swim.
Brisbane Cruises director Jim Kelly said he had been left "shocked" by the incident.
"They were sitting on the railing and they overbalanced and both fell into the water together but luckily the woman was able to be pulled from the water," he said. "We stayed there for quite a while searching for the man and using a helicopter to search for him."
