Harding’s mother, Mettie Cartwright, is legally disabled. She told police her son grabbed her throat, pushed her to the ground, punched her in the face and applied painful pressure to her neck with his hand.
While he had her pinned down, Cartwright said Harding used his free hand to yank her dentures from her mouth. She said he fled the scene with her teeth.
Police said a witness confirmed Cartwright’s story. Harding was arrested and is being in the Harris County Jail without bond

Why did he steal the dentures, what did he do with them?! Bloody journalistic teases!
Things are getting pretty crazy when the defendant is a transsexual in full make up and it isn't even mentioned as part of the story.
I get your point, Fred and agree, but I'm going to get nitpicky, humourless and a tad preachy now: Based on the photo alone we have no way of knowing whether we have here a transgendered woman, a man who does drag or simply a guy who ignores gender norms when it comes to personal style. In any case he looks quite fabulous, too bad he's apparently also violent and totally crazy.
Yes, you're quite right of course. I realized when I wrote it we really don't know his situation....Sorry I just made a politically incorrect guess. And he really looks pretty fab as a gal. In fact I thought it was a female until I read the article. I just thought it odd as the picture alone begged a story but his appearance wasn't even mentioned.
Indeed, they left all the interesting things out.
