‪Thai bomb disposal expert survives car blast‬‏

A booby-trapped car explodes in Thailand’s southern province of Narathiwat as a bomb disposal expert approaches in a desperate bid to disarm a device inside.



But incredibly he escaped with his life.

The man took the full force of the blast but his heavy body armour saved him from serious injury as the vehicle disintegrated in a cloud of smoke and flame.

The bomb is believed to have been planted by separatist militants behind an uprising in the south of the country, near the border with Malaysia.
