Hurricane Balls consist of two half-inch ball bearings welded together. If you spin them on a smooth surface, you can then use the provided plastic tube to blow at one side of the Hurricane Balls. Not only does this keeps them spinning, you can accelerate them up to speeds of 12,000 rpm, which have been recorded using a laboratory strobe light.

Any smooth surface will work for spinning on, but the very best is a concave mirror, for example, a round, magnifying bathroom mirror. Once the Hurricane Balls are spinning, you can then use the three included coloured LED torches to illuminate them, with different colours at different angles.

That... is very very cool.
They should look into the physics of these or try to make bigger ones... wonder if they could power something.
I was thinking the same thing; can they assist in electricity generation?
