Mr Faraji, who was known as Batman, was fired at from almost point-blank range outside the Belgrave pub, in Aigburth on February 24 earlier this year.
A 29-year-old Childwall man was arrested yesterday on suspicion of Mr Faraji's murder and is being questioned by police.
Four men and one woman have already appeared in court over the killing, including former Brookside actor Brian Regan.
