Bull rescued after manhole fall in Chile

A bull has been rescued from his two day ordeal after falling through an open manhole in Chile.

Rescue workers had to remove a section of concrete before winching the bull out of the drainage ditch on the outskirts of Santiago.

Witnesses said the animal had tumbled into the underground water system after a manhole cover was left off.

'Strawberry' the bull seemed none the worse after his ordeal suffering only minor cuts and scrapes owner Javier Pinto said. He added that he was going to “take him to a corral [pen] and see how he reacts. If he's okay I'll set him loose in the fields."

They must have really big manholes in Chile. I can't imagine a bull fitting through the ones we have here.
