PCSO banned from pub over claims he demanded barmaid be strip-searched in change row

A police community support officer has been banned from his local pub for "aggressive behaviour". Richard Moore, 24, of Oakdale Avenue, Willerby, was banned from the Hop Pole for his alleged abusive behaviour towards a barmaid.

Mr Moore remains banned from the Hop Pole in Kingston Road after an outburst towards a female member of staff who had accidentally short-changed him by £10 earlier this year. The barmaid later apologised and gave him the correct money, but pub staff claim Mr Moore became aggressive and was shouting at the woman and demanding she be strip-searched.

Pub manager Peter Harrison said: "He is a big fellow and she was quite upset by it all, she was on the verge of tears. Then he complained about us to the area manager and she banned him. He has been banned ever since."

Mr Moore works as a PCSO for Humberside Police's Haverstoe Neighbourhood Policing Team in Cleethorpes. The police authority said it had investigated the allegations into Mr Moore's behaviour and did not believe any further action was necessary.

What we have here is clearly an example of a little power going to a man's head. Not for nothing are these plastic plod known as "little Hitlers" round here.

Ever notice how many news stories about the police illegally hassling photographers are actually not actual police officers, but PCSOs?
