Neighbour's threw Molotov cocktails at each other's houses 'in dispute over ex-girlfriend'

Two men in Australia have been charged after Molotov cocktails were thrown during a neighbourhood dispute believed to be over an ex-girlfriend.

Queensland police said the men, a 24-year-old and a 20-year-old, both from Eagleby, south of Brisbane, were charged with one count each of wilful damage.

They said investigations were ongoing and that more charges were expected to be laid later this week. It’s understood Molotov cocktails were thrown during a dispute between two neighbouring properties in Endeavour Parade.

Logan police said numerous reports had been received over the last week of residents in Endeavor Parade throwing the firebombs in a "tit-for-tat scenario". They said the dispute, believed to be over an ex-girlfriend, was escalating and predicted someone's house could have been burnt down.
