The woman was waiting to pick up the boy on Thursday when her ex-husband, Michael McKelvey, 38, lobbed an egg at her in a dispute over where she had parked.
McKelvey told officers he warned his ex-wife not to park in front of his apartment when she picked up the child, so he threw an egg at her car.
Police said the egg struck the woman and spilled onto the child. McKelvey was taken into custody for domestic assault. He was taken to the Montgomery County jail where his bond was set at $500.
