A shoplifter dragged a 10 foot fully-built trampoline out of a supermarket with a walking stick.
Ian Pollock used the stick’s handle to drag the £200 trampoline out of Asda in Cumnock, Ayrshire, as astonished customers watched. But the 35-year-old abandoned his booty a short distance away.
Last week at Ayr Sheriff Court, Pollock admitted stealing the trampoline and £40 worth of meat last August. He was sentenced to a community payback order and told to pay £40 compensation.
Asda said: “We take shoplifting very seriously. Our colleagues jumped into action to prevent any theft.”
