Would-be restaurant thief became stuck in chimney

Brazilian police attended an unusual event in a Santa Catarina restaurant in the early hours of Wednesday morning  A 24-year-old man trying to break into the restaurant in Balneario Piçarras, became stuck in the chimney of the kitchen oven.



At around 5:30am, witnesses reported to police that a man was entering the property through the roof.  When they arrived on site, they found the man stuck in the chimney.

Firefighters were called to rescue the young man. After being removed from the chimney, he was taken to a police station.



"He already had a criminal record for theft, threat, slander and domestic violence," said police officer, Jorge Germano da Cunha.
