Man banned from all the libraries on the face of the earth for alleged lewd behaviour

A Wisconsin man has been banned from 'all libraries on the face of the earth' after being charged with misdemeanor counts of lewd behaviour and disorderly conduct in a library.

Tyree S. Carter, 20, was in court on Thursday after he was reportedly caught openly masturbating in the Racine Public Library. The employee who reported the behaviour said Carter was on the second floor and was “standing in the open, not trying to conceal the act,” according to his criminal complaint.

When police arrived Carter was seated reading a book at a table and the officer asked Carter if he knew why police were called. He said he had no idea, the complaint said. But when the officer explained, Carter allegedly apologized and said it was his first time doing it in public.

Carter, who had been staying at the Homeless Assistance Leadership Organization of Racine, was transported to the Racine County Jail and his signature bond was set at $1,000. If convicted, he could face up to $11,000 in fines and a year of imprisonment. As a condition of Carter’s bond, he was told to “stay out of all the libraries on the face of the earth.”
