Man rescued after two-tonne bell fell on top of him

A man in China has been rescued after a two-tonne bronze bell fell on him and trapped him inside.



It happened during a visit to the Guan Zhong memorial at Zibo City in eastern China.

While the man was looking at the bell from below, other visitors above were repeatedly spinning it.

That caused the rope attaching the bell to the ceiling to snap. Rescuers lifted the bell with the use of a pulley block. The man was reportedly uninjured.
