Clairvoyant bus driver sacked after refusing to pick up children due to 'bad' premonition

A clairvoyant bus driver in Dundee refused to pick up children queueing at a bus stop because he sensed something bad would happen.

The National Express Dundee employee’s vehicle swept past youngsters on the school run. He has now been sacked, after telling company bosses he failed to stop because he is clairvoyant. The driver had a premonition that something bad would happen and decided to keep on driving.

Stewart Hunter, Dundee City Council’s education convener, said he was concerned youngsters had been left at the side of the road and would have been late for school. He said: “I can’t comment on what’s happened to the bus driver. It’s important for kids to be able to get to school on time. If the bus doesn’t stop then that’s something that would concern me.

“It’s good National Express has taken action and I’m sure they would be concerned too about kids not being picked up.” The driver was hauled in following the incident last week and has said he intends to appeal the decision. A spokeswoman for National Express Dundee declined to comment. She said: “We don’t discuss conversations with individual members of staff.”

Many thanks Paul!
