I'm not sure what breed it is, Shak, but they're called Club Calves or Show Steers and are raised in cold temperatures and then shown at dog show type events.

Arbroath is absolutely correct. They are club calves, usually for kids partcipating in 4H clubs. They raise not only cattle, but chickens, pigs and other farm animals for show. The breed of the calf is rarely pure. The stock form, the student's adeptness at having raised a healthy specimen and its tameness are key. They wash them and blow them dry for maximum poof for competitions. Sadly (or not, depending on your diet), they are slaughtered after the students have completed their course with the animals.
