I have never seen a cow that looked like that. Does anybody know what type it is?

I'm not sure what breed it is, Shak, but they're called Club Calves or Show Steers and are raised in cold temperatures and then shown at dog show type events.

There's a Q&A thing with a breeder here ...

This is a wind up. The head and left chest is real, the rest is a toy enlarged and Photoshopped in. No udder of course.

Apparently in the world of cow shows, fluffing has become the way to show off your prize moo moo. See this UK Daily Mail article....

Arbroath is absolutely correct. They are club calves, usually for kids partcipating in 4H clubs. They raise not only cattle, but chickens, pigs and other farm animals for show. The breed of the calf is rarely pure. The stock form, the student's adeptness at having raised a healthy specimen and its tameness are key. They wash them and blow them dry for maximum poof for competitions. Sadly (or not, depending on your diet), they are slaughtered after the students have completed their course with the animals.
