Naked tricycle rider found chewing glass and tobacco

Police in Ocean County, New Jersey arrested a naked man found riding a tricycle at an apartment complex on Tuesday evening. An officer responded to the Crossroads Apartments complex in Lakewood to investigate the interesting call.



“I’d probably be lying if I said that I didn’t smirk a little bit, that’s for sure,” Sgt. Greg Staffordsmith said. “Sort of disbelief. I actually had to read the report twice.”

By the time Officer John Macerino arrived on the scene, he said 31-year old Jermaine Jones of Trenton was under a stairwell - still naked – chewing broken glass and cigarette tobacco.



“He also admitted to the officer that he had recently ingested cocaine,” Staffordsmith said. The tricycle was a children's model, the sergeant added. Jones was charged with being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance and with disorderly conduct. He was treated for minor cuts to his mouth.
