New Chinese road has huge pylon in the middle

In an unusual town planning mix-up, a new road in Henan Province, China now has an enormous electricity pylon standing right in the middle of it.



The road developer planned the route without realising it ran right through the transmission tower, which has been in place since 2007.

It's unclear why when they did notice the obstacle they chose not to divert the road.



The power company and the road developers are currently in talks to resolve the issue.
