A woman was arrested on Tuesday after she was driving with a blood-alcohol content nearly three times the legal limit and crashed the car she was driving into a boat.
Victoria Ventura, 57, of Rome, Pennsylvania, was driving on Water Street in Toms River, New Jersey, at around 5:50pm when she left the road on the right, police said.
She went over a kerb, through a utility pole and crashed into a boat that was being stored adjacent to the road, according to police.
Ventura was not injured in the crash.
Her blood-alcohol level was determined to be .21 percent, police said.
Water Street was closed overnight in both directions for repairs to the utility pole and wires. Sporadic power outages were also reported in the area.
