Drunk man at wrong home accused of mooning homeowner and licking door
A Jacksonville man is facing multiple charges after he allegedly licked a door and mooned a homeowner during an apparent mix-up.
Scott McClean Zacher, 43, showed up "highly impaired" at what he thought was a friend's home in Treasure Island, Florida, on June 22, according to a report from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
But it turns out, Zachner didn't know the homeowner. The home owner asked Zacher to leave multiple times, but he allegedly "exposed his buttocks and licked the door."
Zachner was arrested just after midnight on June 23 and charged with trespassing in an occupied structure and disorderly intoxication. Zacher is listed as Administration, Head of Middle School and an 8th grade history teacher on the St. Johns Country Day School website.

Dad arrested after leaving 11-year-old daughter with loaded gun while he had his head tattooed
An Albuquerque dad is in trouble after police said he left a loaded gun with his 11-year-old daughter recently, telling her to use it for protection.
John Ruiz was getting a tattoo on his head when he left the girl alone with the gun. Police said a nervous neighbour called officers after spotting the child with the pistol by her side while she was hanging out at an apartment complex swimming pool in northeast Albuquerque this past weekend.
The girl told investigators her dad said the gun is there in case someone breaks in. She said he keeps it on the counter or under his pillow. Neighbours, who requested anonymity, said they just want to make sure the gun stays out of the hands of a child.

Ruiz, 41, told police his daughter is not supposed to take the gun out of the house, but admitted she’s done that in the past. He’s been charged with endangering a child’s life or health and was released from jail on a $15,000 bond. The girl is still in his custody and the Children, Youth and Families Department is investigating the case.

Man flashed stall owner to pay for his coffee
With no money to pay for his cup of coffee, a 38-year-old man exposed his private parts to a stall owner in Kampung Air Pasir in Tebong, Malaysia, purportedly to settle the bill.
The 47-year-old stall owner said she was shocked when the man casually unzipped his trousers and “placed” his private parts on the table after ordering a cup of coffee at around 9am on Saturday.
Panicked, she ran out and went straight to get help from her 25-year-old son, who was at their house next door. When they returned to the stall, they saw the customer sitting on the table and covering his unzipped trousers with his T-shirt. A scuffle followed and the customer admitted he had no money to pay for the coffee and thought that flashing his private parts would “pay” for the drink.
The stall owner’s son then called the Machap Baru police station, which immediately sent a patrol car to the stall to apprehend the flasher. Recalling the odd encounter, the victim, who declined to be named, said she was manning the stall alone when the man came along to order a cup of coffee. “He was chatty and asked how I was coping with the increasing prices of goods.
“I spoke to him in the normal way and then moved to the back portion of the stall to brew the coffee. As I was about to place the drink and collect payment, the man suddenly flashed his private parts right on the table,” she said. “I was afraid he would sexually assault me and I dashed out from my stall.” Malacca deputy CID chief Supt P.R. Gunarajan said they had detained the man.

Qantas said passengers were moved to "unaffected areas" of the plane and given blankets to stay dry and "the captain decided to return to LA in the interests of passenger comfort".
"Crew on board did everything they could to help customers," Qantas said in a statement. The airline said it was discussing the problem with Airbus. The Aircraft Engineers Association's Stephen Purvinas said it was a serious safety breach.

"If it had have leaked down onto the electronic components it could have brought the thing down," he said. However, Qantas spokesman Andrew McGuiness said passenger safety was not at risk.

Spanish town installs dog toilet
El Vendrell, a small town of 36,000 people in northeastern Spain, has set up a canine toilet along one of its main thoroughfares. The contraption mimics a human toilet in many ways; its stainless steel platform features a hole with a lid. Dog owners must flush the toilet, releasing jets of water that carry the excrement through underground pipes to the sewer system.
Next to it sits a doggie urinal – a grid with small holes over which dogs can squat. Between both sits a water fountain for dogs. The toilet was donated to the town as part of a pilot project, said its creator, Enric Girona. Depending on how the toilet is received by the public, he'll begin marketing it to municipalities around the world. A dog-lover whose father bred Irish Setters, Girona has spent much of the past decade photographing and documenting dogs with the goal of creating a contraption that could extend the luxury of a toilet to dogs.

"Over the years I've seen that if you train and raise dogs well, these animals can be just like humans." Originally Girona came up with a few different models, modifying each as he learned more about the behaviour of dogs. He pointed to the urinal, which is cleaned by a flush of water, as an example. "But it doesn't clean everything, because the animal needs a certain odour to be lured to the toilet," said the engineer, from Terrassa, a town near Barcelona. Given that the toilet is designed to sit in a park, next to statues and fountains, consideration was also given to the design. "You can't have something that clashes with the setting," he said. "The design was done with the concept of being attractive."
The result is what he called a first in the world. "We looked around to see what was on the market, and saw that nothing quite like this existed." The town of El Vendrell, where negligent pet owners face fines of up to €750, was the first to say yes to his marketing pitch, earning them an exclusive dog toilet built entirely by hand. "To make just one is costly and complicated," Girona said. "But if we have orders of 10 or 25, the costs would definitely decrease dramatically." Recent years have seen towns and cities across Spain crack down on owners who don't clean up after their pets. In Barcelona and Madrid fines can run as high as €1,500, while the town of Colmenar Viejo hired a private detective in April to catch negligent owners in the act.

Peculiar toilet exhibition opens at Tokyo's science museum
Curators at Tokyo's Science museum have unveiled their latest exhibition, which is all about toilets.
Staff are hoping that the attraction will give people a new perspective on toilets.
"Toilets and faeces are normally thought of as very unclean topics, but I would like for people to actively talk about them instead of just thinking that they're dirty," said Tami Sakamaki, a staff member at the museum's Exhibition Development Division.

The exhibit features a 5-metre tall toilet that visitors can slide into while wearing faeces-shaped hats. The exhibit is open now and runs until October 5.
