Other customers in Huddersfield Kebabish watched on as the woman and her friends tried to remove the swing top bin lid.
She and her friends seemed to find the whole situation rather amusing, while others watched on in sheer confusion.
Eventually, a Kebabish worker managed to get the lid off to cheers from the impromptu audience.
