Drunk twin brothers stopped by the police in separate driving incidents two hours apart
According to the Vanderburgh County Prosecutor's office in Indiana, 27-year-old twin brothers clashed with Evansville Police last Saturday.
Police reports says Logan Bates was driving dangerously and had two beers cans in plain sight when police caught up with him.
He was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence. Two hours later his twin brother Trevor Bates was cited after witnesses say he was driving a lawn mower while intoxicated with his daughter sat on his lap and a 50-year-old woman on the lawnmower’s deck.
Witnesses reported that Trevor Bates appeared intoxicated and nearly fell from the mower several times. They also reported the mower was nearly hit by traffic because it was swerving into the roadway. An Evansville Police officer found the three people stopped on the sidewalk and off the mower.
Trevor Bates had a reported BAC of 0.445 percent, which is more than five times the legal limit. He was not arrested because when police arrived, he was not driving the lawn mower. Police issued a summons for him to appear in court for a public intoxication charge. The child was released to Bates’ mother. Logan Bates was taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail.

Man with 666 tattooed on his forehead allegedly caused drunken scene at church
A 44-year-old Florida man with 666 tattooed on his forehead is facing charges after allegedly causing a drunken scene at a church.
Michael W. Holman walked into First Assembly of God Church in Milligan at around 9:15pm last Wednesday, according to the arrest report. He was belligerent and using profanities and was asked to leave the church, a request he complied with. He smelled of alcohol and seemed to have balance issues and trouble walking.

An off-duty Okaloosa County Sheriff’s deputy who was attending services at the church became concerned for Holman’s safety and went to speak with him. Holman “became aggressive” and refused to listen to the deputy, who identified himself as law enforcement. Holman repeatedly refused to remove his hands from his pockets.
After he realised the deputy was armed, he told the deputy “he would take his firearm and kill him with it,” then lunged at the deputy with his hands clenched in fists. He was detained until on-duty deputies arrived. He is charged with felony corruption by threat to a public servant and misdemeanor disorderly intoxication.

Off-duty police officer died riding bicycle down stairs inside house
The death of a police officer in New Hampshire on Wednesday has been ruled an accident.
Keith Trombley, 25, of the Nashua Police Department, was off duty and at a party with friends at another officer’s home in Pelham.
New Hampshire Associate Attorney General Jane Young says Trombley tried to ride a bicycle down a flight of stairs and hit his head. "This was a tragic, horrific accident," Young added, ruling the death as accidental.
Trombley made the fatal bike ride down stairs at the home of fellow Nashua Police Officer Ryan McDermott. The incident happened as the get-together was winding down and party-goers rushed to the basement after hearing a loud crash.

"The individuals at the home heard a crash, went to the stairs and Officer Trombley was at the bottom," Young said at a press conference. "The bottom of those stairs was a concrete floor." Trombley had been a member of the Nashua Police Department for two and a half years.

Woman attacked boyfriend after he refused to have sex with her in burrito restaurant bathroom
A woman from Oak Forest, Illinois, has been charged after attacking her boyfriend for refusing to have sex with her in the men's bathroom of a restaurant in the Midlothian suburb of Chicago, police said.
Stephanie Miller, 26, is charged with domestic battery and illegal possession of prescription drugs, according to police. The man told police he had taken Miller, his girlfriend, to the El Burrito Loco for dinner on April 25 after the two left a pub, where he said Miller had thrown sandwiches and behaved erratically.
At the restaurant, the man was urinating in the men's room when Miller followed him inside and began stripping off her clothes and asking him for sex, police reported. They said that when the man refused, Miller responded by banging his head against the wall.
As police questioned Miller at the restaurant, she was rummaging through her purse, leaving a bottle of prescription pills labelled with another woman's name in sight of officers, resulting in the drug charge, police said. Miller is being held on $75,000 bail and is scheduled back in court on May 18.

X-ray scan at Spanish border revealed eight-year-old boy stashed inside suitcase
An eight-year-old boy has been smuggled into Spain from Morocco inside a suitcase, Spanish police say.
The boy, Abou, was found inside the case being carried by a 19-year-old woman into Ceuta, a Spanish enclave next to Morocco, on Thursday. The child was detected as the suitcase was passed through an X-ray scanner.

When police opened the case, they found the boy in a "terrible state", a spokesman for the Guardia Civil said. The boy, from Ivory Coast, is now in the care of authorities in Ceuta. The 19-year-old is not related to the boy, and was paid by his father to carry the suitcase. The boy's father lives in the Canary Islands and had hoped to be reunited with his son.
The boy's father, also named Abou, had travelled back to Ivory Coast to pick him up, having moved to Gran Canaria in 2013. The father then reportedly paid the Moroccan courier to carry the suitcase. A police spokesman said: "She seemed to hesitate, and it looked as though she didn't want to come through the border.

"At first we thought that there could be drug packages, but gradually discovered that it was a human body." The boy's father travelled across the border an hour-and-a-half after his son. At that point he was detained by border guards. Ceuta and another Spanish enclave, Melilla, sit on Morocco's Mediterranean coast, and are each surrounded on three sides by Morocco.

Police responding to report of snake in woman's salad found a worm
Police in Darmstadt, Germany, were called out on an emergency on Wednesday afternoon.
A young woman had called in after finding what appeared to be a snake in her salad. The young woman called in after her mother found an “animal” in the wash basin as she cleaned some salad she had bought at the supermarket.
The animal was between five and six-cm long, able to swim and looked like a snake, said the caller. Unfortunately she couldn't send a picture as her internet connection was down.
The police sent a deployment out to the house to investigate further. After assessing the situation, the officers caught the animal, took it outside and released it into the wild. It turned out to be an ordinary garden worm.
