Sally Bourne Interiors in Muswell Hill was selling the lumps of wood for £10 each, £15 for two or £50 for the whole lot.

The store said the logs were left over from their Christmas display, which they decided to sell following interest from customers.

Maria Wylie observed: “One of them doesn’t even have any paint on.” Sally Bourne Interiors is having the last laugh, however - the logs have now sold out.

Up to now, I've been flushing my logs down the pan.
Now I'm going to be the next Mark Sugerberg by painting them and selling them on t'interweb!
