Wild polar bear spotted tenderly stroking dog

David De Meulles filmed this incident with a polar bear and a sled dog in Churchill, northern Manitoba, Canada, last weekend.

I find it interesting the dog doesn't seem to give a stuff. In fact, it wanders off while getting its chain caught up with the bear's legs, making the bear get out of the way.

You know that's not normal and anthropomorphizing it is a mistake.
A couple of hours later a bear killed another dog from the same sled team.
Turned out the owner had been feeding the bears for tourism purposes and that night he didn't put out any food.

Darn it, Anonymous! That sure negates all the sweetness of the clip.
