Mother's second birth in her car

A mother has given birth to a baby in her car for a second time.

Wendy Hay, 29, and fiancé David Bernard, 30, were rushing to hospital on the A9 in the Highlands under police escort when her waters broke.



By the time officers pulled over she had given birth to the so-far unnamed baby girl.

Two years ago, Ms Hay gave birth to Arabella in the same Vauxhall Astra in the driveway of their home in Newton Grange, Dalkeith.

Four years ago they had only just made it to hospital when their first child Lochlann was born.
