Man selling sex toys from food cart shut down due to out of date permits

A man selling sex toys from a food cart in downtown Evansville, Indiana, was told to close up shop on Thursday.

Kwan Dixon was running Pop's Popcorn and Koosier Daddy's Food Cart outside the downtown Evansville METS station, until detectives shut it down due to out of date city permits. Dixon’s permits also didn’t list that he was selling sex toys.

Dixon says his business was successful before it was shut down. He was selling ordinary food cart items, like chips and hot dogs, but the hot items were the sex toys. Kwan decided to sell sex toys on his food cart because he says sex sells.

“Sex sells. We all love it. We love it more than we actually show it. Is sex selling in Evansville? Yeah! More peace. More kids. More peace. It will settle everybody down," said Kwan. If Dixon updates his permits, he will be able to continue his business.
