Council admits to parking bay spelling error but says it's only temporary

An embarrassing spelling mistake painted onto a road is only temporary, according to a council.



Somerset County Council admits that a painted parking bay marked "disaled" in Shepton Mallet is its responsibility.

A spokesman for the council said: "We will shortly be adding a disabled parking bay at this location.



"This is just a temporary marker so our contractor knows where to paint the new lines."
